Nationwide electricity car charging network to be launched

As many people are looking to reduce their carbon footprints, electric cars are becoming the go-to vehicle, and now a new nationwide charging point network could benefit thousands.
Elektromotive Limited, which provides charging points for countries all over Europe, wants to bring the largest pay-as-you-go network to the UK, making it easier for people to take up electric vehicles.
The company wants to create an "open source" that will allow electric car owners to charge up more easily with Elekromotive looking to turn a regional scheme to a national one with a goal of setting up 10,000 points across the country.
Unlike other services providers by other operators, this latest development will be subscription free.
Taylor-Haw, founder and managing director of Elektromotive, said: "Charge point owners in both the public and private sectors have a way to promote their charge points, generate revenue and manage their infrastructure. EV drivers [will] have a single access point for recharging that is quick, easy and affordable."
