Owning an expensive car can woo the opposite sex

The sight of an older person driving around in a flashy convertible or sports car is usually an indicator of a midlife crisis, but a new survey has suggested that a more expensive vehicle can potentially woo the opposite sex.
ContactHireandLending.com found that 33 per cent of people aged between 18 and 24 believe that a person can become more attractive if they own a more expensive car although not everyone shares this opinion.
The company found that, overall, 69 per cent of British believed that what car you owned did not make a difference to who people are attracted to while north of the border only seven per cent of motorists felt that the more expensive the car the more attractive someone becomes.
Richard Lawton, ContractHireAndLeasing.com spokesperson, said: "Young people often yearn for an expensive, flashy motor; something that for most is out of their reach. It is understandable therefore that they are drawn to people who have a nice car and believe it adds something to their appeal."
