Rising fuel tax causing concern for drivers

Fuel tax is becoming the number one problem for motorists across the UK, and has forced some to cut down on the amount of journeys they take.
A survey by the Post Office found that British drivers named the increasing price of petrol and diesel for the main reason that they are becoming more economical with the use of their vehicle.
The poll found that 46 per cent of people are not using their car as much as they were before, while 31 per cent either cut back on the amount of fuel they buy or have shopped around to find cheaper petrol.
There seems to be no let up in the woes for motorists as chancellor George Osborne revealed in his spring Budget that there will be a further duty rise of 3p per litre in August.
Gerry Barrett, head of insurance at Post Office, said: "For many drivers, their car is their lifeline and many people rely on their car every day. It is not surprising that motorists are becoming increasingly worried about rising fuel prices."
