Ford Focus scoops Diesel Car magazine award

Ford has claimed another accolade for its all-new Focus model, after it was honoured at the Diesel Car magazine awards.
The vehicle was named the best diesel medium car at the 2012 awards ceremony and was commended for its contemporary style and refinement, beating the likes of the Hyundai i30 and Volkswagen Golf.
It comes after the Focus model was named as the 'best in class' small family car at the Euro NCAP tests in February where it claimed the maximum of five stars in the organisation's crash tests.
The Diesel Car judges noted that drivers have been impressed with the Focus' style and contemporary cabin, with its editor Ian Robertson describing the vehicle as "simply the best in its class".
Andy Barratt, Ford Britain sales director, said: "This independent endorsement recognises Focus' all-round appeal, as well as the UK-based Ford engineers and manufacturing specialists responsible for the diesel powertrains."
