Citroen expands satnav provision for van range

Citroen has extended the provision of satnav systems to a wider range of its light commercial vehicles.

As of the beginning of this year, the manufacturer is including the Trafficmaster Smartnav system in all of its Relay, Berlingo and Dispatch vans as standard, as well as Trackstar stolen van recovery technology.

The carmaker said this will also make it easier for fleet operators to use its optional transport management system Fleet Director.

According to Citroen, the addition of Trafficmaster as a standard feature will help to make its range of commercial vehicles safer and more efficient than ever.

Charles Peugeot, head of commercial vehicles and business sector sales, said: "The company's new 2010 initiative ... will empower even more operators with the means to cut costs, minimise emissions and reduce driver stress."

Last month, the company scooped several top prizes at the What Van? Awards, including the title of Small Panel Van of the Year for the Dispatch.
