Fiat launches fuel efficiency system for vans
Fiat has introduced a new version of its eco:Drive fuel efficiency system for operators of commercial van fleets.
The new eco:Drive Fleet system is an application which monitors the fuel consumption of vans as they make their journeys in order to collate data on driving behaviour and associated costs.
It then offers retrospective advice to van drivers on how they can operate their vehicles more efficiently, thereby reducing business costs.
This new feature is designed to be compatible with all Fiat commercial vehicles which use the Blue&Me platform, including the Grande Punto and Doblo Cargo vans.
Andrew Humberstone, managing director of Fiat Group Automobiles UK and Ireland, said: "Individual drivers making small savings can have a positive effect in reducing the overall fleet carbon footprint and generate significant costs savings across the business, and eco:Drive can help with this goal."
Fiat won acclaim for its commercial vehicle range in December 2009 at the What Van? Awards, claiming the Small Panel Van of the Year title for its Scudo model.
