Five manufacturers awarded Van Excellence

The Van Excellence accreditation has been expanded once again as five leading manufacturers have become partners.
Fiat, Isuzu, Nissan, Mercedes and Volkswagen have all been bestowed with the accolade and will work with freight operators and the Freight Transport Association to provide better standards for all van drivers and operators across the country.
Gaining the accreditation will now see the companies help to develop new standards for customer service and dealership support.
Mark Cartwright, FTA's head of vans and light commercial vehicles said: "Becoming a partner of the scheme allows them to demonstrate their support for van operators and their drivers and their commitment to high standards of support and service for accredited fleets."
The manufacturers will join supermarket giant Sainsbury's which was recently given the accreditation. The store has a fleet of 1,400 vans with 4,000 drivers and makes around 165,000 deliveries a week worth over £750 million.
