Ford Transit Connect wins light van award
Ford's Transit Connect has been recognised as the best light van of 2009 at a recent awards ceremony.
The vehicle was presented with the accolade at the Association of Car Fleet Operators' (ACFO's) Fleet Car and Vans Awards, with the results collated from online polls.
This marks the seventh year in a row that the Transit Connect has walked away with the prize, which ACFO claims is representative of the "true face of fleet operations".
Ford of Britain fleet director Kevin Griffin described the latest victory as an honour, as well as stating that it is a testament to the quality of the manufacturer's offerings in the sector.
He said: "It is recognition of Ford's commercial vehicle success and why we remain the choice of thousands of British businesses."
This comes after Ford was named as the most reliable van manufacturer in the country by a Fleet News magazine survey this week.
