Iveco launches new Daily and EcoDaily vans

Individuals looking for a new Iveco van will soon have the option of a new 7.0 tonne option in its Daily and EcoDaily categories.

The new light vehicles mark the UK launch of the product in the van, chassis cab and crew cab configurations.

Offering a 470 kg increase in payload capabilities on the 6.5 tonne model, it creates a supplement to the existing range and is ideal for urban operations.

With a narrow chassis of 2,174 mm, the vehicle has more than 4,700 kg of body mass and Iveco believe it will open up a new market for them, providing an option for fleets running lightweights over short distances that do not need the scope of a Eurocargo.

Martin Flach, product director of Iveco UK, said: "We're expecting significant interest from fleets which have a requirement to deliver heavier goods in an urban environment, such as newspapers, stationery and drinks."

The company recently announced it had released a custom-built anti-siphon device for its vehicles, in conjunction with TISS Security Systems.
