Mercedes-Benz has released details of its new Vito van, saying that it "delivers top performance".
The low-fuel consumption vehicle was designed to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 15 per cent compared to older models, the car company claimed.
It said that the BlueEFFICIENCY technology "offers the utmost in eco-friendly and economical driving".
This optional facility also offers six-speed transmission, allowing "excellent traction at low speeds" and reducing revs at faster velocities.
Mercedes-Benz also confirmed that sturdy bumpers have been added to the Vito vehicles, giving it "practicality in rough, everyday situations".
As well as its build, the company hailed its design and comfort.
"The quality feel of the passenger compartment has been improved quite noticeably and, in this context, noise levels could also be considerably reduced," a spokesperson said.
Simpler controls, new-style headlamps and bumpers were among the other improvements of the van.
Mercedes-Benz recently confirmed its Vario vehicle will be "undergoing a facelift" and will be fitted with new-style engines and the latest exhaust technology.
