Renault extends National Van Week

Renault's National Van Week has been extended by an extra seven days to provide van buyers with more of an opportunity to take advantage of the sales.

Commencing on January 16th, the van sales period will run until the last day of the month.

Buyers will be treated to the New Kangoo Van range which will be joined by a string of credit crunch incentives, such as air conditioning packs, portable TomToms and 12 months free road tax.

This comes after the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) reported that 2009 is likely to be a difficult year for the automotive industry.

While 2008 saw a 21.2 per cent drop in new vehicle registrations, SMMT chief executive Paul Everitt commented that this year could follow that trend if consumer confidence is not restored.

"The measures taken by government to support the banking sector … are not yet sufficient to restore confidence," he said.
