Van drivers looking to reduce costs
Van drivers across the UK are looking for ways to reduce their running costs and have been urged to shop around for the best deal on insurance.
Like with the rest of the country, commercial vehicle owners have been blighted by the continuing rise of petrol prices and are looking for ways they can cut back on their day-to-day outgoings.
Fuel stations across Britain were inundated with people panic buying petrol during the first week of April amid fears of a potential strike of tanker workers and it has led to oil companies raising prices to take advantage of the high demand.
However, some drivers are looking to cut their van insurance in order to offset rising petrol prices and Comparethemarket.com have advised motorists to seek the best deal possible.
David Jackson, director of insurance partnerships at price comparison site, said: "While drivers can do little to save on fuel costs, they could potentially look at other ways to reduce the overall cost of driving and offset the fuel price rises."
