Lexus reveals new GS model

California’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance witnessed yesterday (August 18th) a brand new model from luxury brand Lexus.

The GS represents the first in a new line of prestigious motors for the manufacturer featuring the brand’s new ‘face’ with bold lines, a redesigned frontal grill and newly shaped and positioned headlamps.

It also comes with enhanced performance and safety features including a new integrated safety system incorporating pre-collision warning programs and whiplash injury-lessening frontal seatbelts.

Earlier this year, the brand earned the prestigious title of being the highest-rated manufacturer in the JD Power and Associates customer satisfaction survey, a position it has held on to since it first became eligible 11 years ago.

Announced by What Car?, the achievement was “remarkable”, according to the magazine’s editor Jim Holder.

“Great products and great people are the key to success and we will continue to raise our standards to [go] beyond the expectations of our customers,” said Lexus director Richard Balshaw.

The company’s new GS model is expected to hit UK showrooms in 2012.
