Motorists looking to have their car serviced this autumn should consider bringing it to a Motor Codes-subscribing garage.
At least that is the opinion of Motor Codes itself, which has claimed that garages that adhere to the Motor Industry Code of Practice for Service and Repair are likely to provide customers with the best and fairest service.
A spokesperson for the organisation commented: “It is always difficult knowing which garage to choose. As many people don’t know their valves from their pistons, there’s always the concern of being ripped-off by a dodgy garage.”
Therefore, garages which comply with the Motor Code’s customer service standards are more likely to deliver a high level of satisfaction than those that do not, the spokesperson suggested.
This comes after the Institute of Advanced Motorists recently warned drivers to ensure that their car batteries are properly maintained during the autumn months, claiming that frost has been known to “take its toll” on battery life.
