Fans of a famous Triumph motorcycle now have a comprehensive guide to the model thanks to a journalist’s new book.
Peter Henshaw has put together Triumph Bonneville – the Essential Buyer’s Guide, after researching the history and restoring culture of classic versions of the bike.
The 64-page guide covers everything from the very first 1959 T120 pre-unit 650, to the very last T140 unit 750 machines built by L F Harris.
Publishers Veloce said the book is a “no-nonsense, straightforward guide to buying a ‘Bonnie'”, which also includes an auction guide and could appeal to bike insurance customers thinking of investing in a classic.
The book also includes spares prices and tips on what to look for when checking potential purchases.
Mr Henshaw is a previous editor of Motorcycle Sport and Leisure who now contributes to a range of transport magazines and the Daily Telegraph.
The Bonneville is described by Triumph as “a true roadster” suitable for urban roads and country travel.
