A Hertfordshire family-owned car dealership and repair centre is moving to new premises today (23 November) after four decades at its old site.
Roy Chapman Ltd is shifting from Gossoms End in Berkhamsted to Western Road in Tring, making room for a new Lidl supermarket on its old site. When moving to new premises, it’s always important to check where motor trade insurance policies need to be updated to take into account the different risk levels at the new premises.
As part of the move, the company has created two new jobs for an MOT tester and technician. The dealership will no longer be badged as a Ford franchise for new Ford car sales.
The business was set up by Roy and Anne Chapman in 1974 and is now run by the couple’s daughter Justine Chapman. She told Hemel Today: “As a fully independent family-owned dealership, we can be even more competitive with our servicing costs and will continue with our ‘price match’ guarantee.
“Of course, we will be retaining our trained staff and diagnostic tools and therefore will continue to offer Ford servicing to manufacturer standard and we will continue as a Mazda specialist.”
The business carries out services and MOTs for all makes of vehicle.
