A leading supply chain management specialist for the car leasing industry is holding an open day on 22 June 2016, bringing together representatives from garages across the UK with its leasing firm customers, reports FleetNews.
Representatives from the UK's largest vehicle leasing firm Lex Autolease, as well as some 150 representatives from UK garages, will attend the Fleet Assist event. Fleet Assist, as a service, helps to bring these two parties together, cutting costs and simplifying the process of arranging servicing for contract hire and leasing companies.
Garages offering services to leasing firms will be expected to ensure their motor trade insurance and road risks insurance policies are up to date in order to offer the very best service and protection for their customers.
Other fleet firms attending the open day include Days Fleet, Alphabet, JCT600 Vehicle Leasing Solutions, Tusker and Grosvenor Leasing.
The open day is an opportunity for garages and leasing firms to discuss a number of issues, including operational issues and key trends in the industry. There will also be opportunities to meet the Fleet Assist team and to observe demonstrations of how the service works with regard to its systems and processes. The firm also hopes the garage representatives will have the chance to talk one-to-one with Fleet businesses themselves.
Vincent St Claire, Fleet Assist's commercial director, stated: “The fleet market is all about partnerships and companies and their suppliers working hand-in-hand with each other to deliver an even better mutually beneficial service."
He added, "Vehicle leasing companies and our service agencies not only need each other, but they must work together to deliver a first class service to their mutual companies — company car and van drivers and fleet decision-makers.
“Ultimately everyone is striving to deliver customer service excellence and maximise vehicle uptime."
