A car dealership in Hereford has got into the festive spirit by coming to the aid of the Hereford Lions Club by providing Santa with a modern day sleigh.
The Hereford Lions Club is an organisation that performs fundraising for local charities and provides aid to those in need. To help in its latest campaign, the Fownhope Mitsubishi dealership has provided a red 4×4 so that Father Christmas can drive around the city and surrounding villages delivering gifts and merriment to the local area.
While the North Pole resident might have his own special sleigh insurance, for employees of the car dealership that are driving stock out on the roads they will require cover from a road risks insurance policy. This aspect of a business’ motor trade insurance will ensure the vehicles they are selling are protected in case they should suffer any damage when out on the roads.
The vehicle that the dealership has loaned to the Lions is adorned with festive messages. It is completing a tour throughout December to provide some seasonal cheer to children across the local area.
Over the past four years the Lions have raised more than £20,000 for charities. Spokesperson for the club David Hartland said: “Thousands of children enjoy seeing Santa and telling him what they want for Christmas and we are grateful for the support of Fownhope Mitsubishi and the loan [of] the perfect vehicle to tow the sleigh and help keep alive such a wonderful festive tradition.”
