Audi has carried on its bright start to 2013 after the A3 Sportback scooped the What Car? Car of the Year.
The manufacturer was highly successful at the 36th annual award ceremony held by the motoring publication and also claimed the Small Family Car of the Year accolade for the same vehicle.
It joins a prestigious list of previous winners of the overall prize including the Volkswagen up!, Peugeot 3008, Ford Fiesta as well as the Audi 1, which claimed the award in 2011.
Martin Sander, director of Audi UK, said: “To win the overall Car of the Year Award is something else entirely though – this great honour marks the car out as something truly special in the eyes of UK car buyers, and is of course also highly prized by all of us at Audi.”
Audi recently won the title of Most Cost-Efficient Car for an SME Company Car Driver for its A1 Sportback.
