Audi has come away from the Business Car Manager SME Company Car of the Year Awards 2012 with success that to its A1 Sportback vehicle.
The manufacturer claimed the Most Cost-Efficient Car for an SME Company Car Driver and was praised by the judges for its “low cost, low CO” and “good brand appeal” at the ceremony.
Officials were suitably impressed with A1 Sportback and it represented the first accolade for the premium subcompact five-door model and adds to the plethora of awards that has already been given to the A1 family.
James Douglas, head of fleet sales at Audi UK, added: “It is fantastic to see the A1 Sportback regarded so highly for its efficiency credentials. The 1.6 TDI engine is capable of achieving 74.3mpg whilst only emitting 99g/km.”
It was not only Audi that performed well in terms of providing vehicles for the business sector as Mercedes-Benz’s E 300 BlueTEC claimed two accolades at the ceremony.
