Ford has hailed the continuing popularity of its models among drivers in the UK.
According to the company, the Ford Fiesta was the best-selling car in Britain during April 2010, closely followed by the Ford Focus.
The carmaker also reported a significant increase in sales of many of its other vehicles, including the Ka, Kuga, S-MAX and Transit.
Nigel Sharp, managing director of Ford in the UK, said this is partly because it is working hard to make customers aware of the “outstanding value” its cars provide.
“Ford’s continuing stream of new model introductions, incorporating our low CO2 technology, suits the current market conditions,” he commented.
Mr Sharp added that the manufacturer’s latest vehicles are both technically advanced and stylish.
This comes after Ford confirmed that it will bring Fiesta models in line with its large and medium cars by having its Electronic Stability Programme as a standard feature for newly-ordered vehicles.
