Ford’s Fiesta continues to dominate the automotive market after it claimed the title of European top seller for 2012.
One Fiesta was purchased every two minutes on average over the past 12 months which once again shows the dominance of a vehicle which has been the overall UK best seller for the past three years.
Across the 30 European markets, Ford sold 953,174 cars, which included 306,405 Fiestas, according to research by Jato Dynamics, and it is set to be boosted even further on January 24th for “Fiesta Day”.
This will see Ford’s UK dealers help to manage the heightened levels of interest in the new Fiesta model.
Roelant de Waard, vice president, marketing, sales and service, Ford of Europe, said: “The Fiesta had a fantastic 2012 in the UK, Europe and across the world. This iconic car has come to define what customers desire from a small car – style, quality, efficiency and great technology.”
