Hyundai has picked up three prestigious accolades for the design of a host of its models by the German Design Council.
The South Korean manufacturer scooped two awards for its New Generation i30 while the company’s i-oniq show car was also praised for its innovative and chic design.
Officials were delighted to accept the ‘Best Interior’ and ‘Best Exterior’ honour for the i30 vehicle while the i-oniq landed the ‘Best Concept’ title, carrying on the firm’s proud tradition in the field of designing vehicles.
The i30 received high praise for the improvement in the car’s interior which was described by judges as being a “significant step forward” from the previous incarnation of the model.
Allan Rushforth, senior vice president of Hyundai Motor Europe, said: “New Generation i30 is the best example yet of our focus on conceiving vehicles that match the aspirations of European consumers, as part of our product localisation strategy.”
