Land Rover is looking to rejuvenate the public’s perception of its iconic Defender vehicle by offering a range of new features.
The company has announced that the 4×4 car will be available in a range of four different roof colours as well as new premium seat designs and an upgraded Alpine sound system.
Land Rover’s Defender shot to fame in 1983 and since its inception has undergone several phases of remodelling. The company believes that these new options will help to strengthen the image of the classic model.
In terms of roof colours, buyers can now choose from Santorini Black, Indus Silver, Orkney Grey or Firenze Red in addition to the traditional Fuji White, which was implemented across all models.
John Edwards, Land Rover global brand director, said: “Underpinned by the powerful 2.2-litre diesel engine and its go anywhere capability, the iconic Defender retains the rugged appeal that it’s always been famous for but now with even greater customer choice.”
