The new Maserati Quattroporte is due to go on sale in the UK next month, priced at £110,000. The Quattroporte is being introduced as Maserati’s flagship vehicle and is available in both 3.8 litre twin turbo V8 and 3.0 litre twin turbo V6 models.
The V8 model is able to reach a high-speed of 191mph. It can accelerate from zero to 62mph in only 4.7 seconds.
The Quattroporte is a larger vehicle than previous models, measuring in at 5263mm long, which is 163mm longer than the stretched S-class. It is also quite a bit lighter than previous models due to Maserati’s use of aluminium. It is 100kg lighter in total, weighing in at 1890kg. This reduction in weight has been achieved through the introduction of a lightweight bonnet, boot-lid, suspension, front wings, doors and damper towers.
The new engine has been developed by Ferrari exclusively for Maserati.
