Mercedes-Benz has been bestowed with an accolade at the Business Car Manager SME Company Car of the Year Awards.
The manufacturer’s E 300 BlueTEC Hybrid was successful in two categories at the ceremony, claiming the top prize in both the Best Overall Company Car for SMEs and Best Company Car for SME Directors sections.
Judges on the panel were impressed by Mercedes’ commitment to producing energy efficient cars that are ideal to help those working within the business without putting a significant strain on finances and impact on the environment.
Nick Andrews, head of fleet for Mercedes-Benz UK, said: “The E 300 BlueTEC Hybrid generates just 109 grams of CO2 per kilometre, with a combined fuel economy of 67.3 mpg, as proved in our real-world driving eco challenge, so it really is an exciting company car.”
The E 300 BlueTEC Hybrid has been described as the most efficient E-Class production car and companies can purchase the vehicle form £39,645 OTR.
