Skoda has announced a highly positive 2012 with the company smashing all previous records in the past 12 months.
The manufacturer saw a surge in year-to-date registrations with a 17.9 per cent increase on 2011’s figure while this had a knock-on effect, sending its market share up to 2.6 per cent.
Skoda has now recorded the fourth successive year in which it has broken the previous year’s achievements and it is seeing the company go from strength to strength.
October has also proved to be a highly profitable month for Skoda with the firm registering 4,759 new cars over the month, pushing its year-to-date registrations levels up to 46,281.
Alasdair Stewart, brand director for Skoda UK, said: “Today’s news that we’ve already beaten 2011’s total – itself the previous highest-ever UK figure – demonstrates the momentum Skoda has in the UK. Our core values of exceptionally versatile cars, great design, advanced technology and value-for-money prices appeal to the motoring public.”
