The new car dealership, workshop and MOT centre has opened for business in south London, creating almost 50 jobs.
Work to create the £10 million development in Chingford started last year. The site has showrooms for new and used cars, a workshop capable of handling 13 cars at once, and offers MOT testing with the latest equipment.
Motor trade insurance and road risks insurance policies should be among your key concerns when opening a new motor business or expanding at an existing site. It’s important to get coverage that is exactly tailored to your business and ensure staff, tools and equipment are properly covered, as well as the value of cars on the site.
The new dealership in Chingford is run by Robins & Day and Citroën Retail Group. Due to the size of the project, it was able to attract David Peel, chief executive of Peugeot Citroën Retail Group UK and Stéphane le Guével, director general Peugeot Citroën Automobiles UK, to the opening, along with local council economic growth cabinet member, Coun Clare Coghill.
Dealer principal, Martyn Wood, told the Chingford Guardian: “The development of this site has been a long time coming and we are all very pleased to now be officially open.
"All parties involved have been working hard to construct the flagship dealership we have been planning for many years. This is our first new build tri-brand site and it marks a significant step in our company’s development.”
