Dealership chain JCT600 has invested some £1.1m in a brand new Vauxhall dealership for Bradford, with over 1,000 square metres of floor space.
The new building, which has been constructed over a seven-month period on a site previously used as a Vauxhall dealership, incorporates all the state-of-the-art features from the Vauxhall design team. These include new toilets with changing facilities for babies, a cafe, a customer vehicle handover bay and even a kids zone complete with gaming stations to keep the little ones occupied while their parents take care of the serious business of buying a new car.
Adding these kinds of customer-focused features is just one of the ways in which franchised dealerships are responding to the trend for more car buying taking place online. Adding these kinds of facilities can significantly enhance the dealership experience for customers. Any dealers spending their cash on these kinds of upgrades need to notify their motor trade insurance provider to ensure their new facilities are covered in their policy.
JCT600's group director, Mark Taylor, explained: "After almost 30 years on this site, Vauxhall is one of our longest established franchises and we felt that our loyal customers deserved the benefits of a complete re-build rather than simply redeveloping our existing showroom."
