Three luxury cars stolen from Hampshire dealership

Thieves have stolen three luxury cars worth a total of £47,000 from a dealership in Hampshire during a late night raid.

The criminals broke into Romsey Car Centre and stole a black Jaguar XF worth £16,000, a blue Audi A4 worth £18,000, and a Mercedes C Class worth £13,000. According to the Daily Echo, the incident occurred around midnight on Sunday 24 April but police have only just released information about the robbery as the attempt to gain fresh information to help them with their investigation.

Due to their high market value, cars, particularly luxury vehicles, are always going to catch the eyes of criminals. This is why it is essential that any individual or business selling cars from a designated business premises has a motor trade insurance policy in place that will cover the value of their stock in case it should be stolen.

In the case of the cars stolen from the Hampshire dealership, the Jaguar's registration plate is BV12 NNL, while the Mercedes' registration is GJ61 UHC and the Audi's is HJ12 OXC.

PC Mark Brown of Hampshire Constabulary said: "This is a rare incident and we are following up a number of inquiries.

"We would be keen to hear from anyone who may have been offered these cars for sale or seen them on any buying or selling websites."
