The Brindley Volvo dealership in Wolverhampton is relocating to a new site, which will afford the dealers the chance to house their aftersales, trade parts and car sales operations in one building.
The move to the new state-of-the-art premises comes after a £1m investment and a six-month redevelopment. It will have space for seven cars to be on display at any time and will also incorporate the Volvo Retail Experience branding in the 5,000 square foot site. This new sales approach is intended to make the retail experience more pleasant for buyers, in a well-designed, Scandinavian-inspired space.
Dealers looking to expand or improve their premises can take inspiration from the Volvo Retail Experience approach. Indeed, there is a trend for dealerships installing extra customer services, such as coffee-shop style lounges and even luxury services, such as manicures and massages. James Elke, the dealer principal at Brindley, explained: "After being greeted by your own dedicated service advisor in our brand new entrance, you will then be able to relax in our fully air-conditioned showroom, while enjoying complimentary refreshments in a comfortable lounge-style waiting area."
The new site, which will open on 4 October, also allows the mechanic to carry out while-you-wait MOTs and services. The repairs will be carried out by teams of technicians, rather than by individuals, allowing work to be carried out twice as fast.
