One car manufacturer has become a winner after bagging four awards at an industry ceremony.
American carmaker Ford came away from the 2011 Association of Car Fleet Operators (ACFO) awards with over half of the gongs available to fleet businesses, including two for the all-new Ford Focus which was launched earlier this year.
The Ford Focus also won the award for fleet car of the year by the premier organisation for fleet operators.
Commercial fleet cars won the other pair of awards with the Ford Transit coming out on top. The van is the UK’s top selling van, retailing at around £16,750.
Kevin Griffin, Ford of Britain fleet director, said: “This early industry endorsement of our new Ford Focus confirms it as a company car of choice.”
He added that the ACFO members’ opinions are highly prized as they reflect the day-to-day operational experience of fleet decision-makers.
The Ford Transit Connect Van was voted small van of the year for the ninth year running earlier this year.
