French manufacturer Citroen has opened a new sales centre for cars and commercial vehicles which it claims is the UK’s largest dealer-based fleet department.
The new Citroen Coventry site amalgamates the company’s previous facilities in Coventry and Birmingham and offers workshop facilities as well as storage space for hundreds of vehicles.
Citroen states that it hopes to sell 3,000 vehicles from the site annually by next year, suggesting that the new facility would help it to better meet the needs of its commercial and private customers.
John Harrison, regional operations fleet manager for the new site, said: “In setting up this new operation our customers will benefit from improved accessibility to an unrivalled range of fleet services, which has been made possible by our move to the Citroen Coventry site.”
In June, Citroen’s commercial vehicles received recognition from the Department for Transport/SMMT Van CO2 database for being among the more economical and fuel efficient on the market.
