Ford has been recognised as the Van Manufacturer of the Year at the annual Fleet Van Awards.
The publication awarded the accolade on the basis of expert analysis and industry research, with Ford retaining the title it received at the 2008 ceremony.
Among the commercial vehicles to be launched by the manufacturer this year is the Fiesta Van, which Ford described as being a “class-leading package” due to its fuel economy and low running costs.
Ford expressed its pride at receiving a title which it described as “hugely important” and stated that the recognition was a testament to its commitment to the sector.
Steve Kimber, commercial vehicles director at Ford of Britain, said: “It is great to see the continual investment we make in our van range recognised like this and our reputation and standing in the fleet market are sure to benefit.”
Among the other manufacturers to be honoured at the awards was Citroen, whose Berlingo Crew Van was rated as the best light commercial vehicle of the year.
