Ford has once again been honoured at the Association of Car Fleet Operators (ACFO) Awards for its vans.
The company was given the accolade of favourite Small Van for its Transit Connect while the Ford Transit was named the Large Van of the Year for the 16th time in its existence, highlighting the firm’s commitment to these vehicles.
Officials noted the Transit Connect picked up the award for the tenth consecutive year while the Ford Transit became a back-to-back winner in its category.
The latter is one of the most popular vehicles of its ilk across the UK, with it being the pinnacle for the ‘white van man’ trader. It has also been the best-selling van for the 46 years it has been on the market.
Julie Jenner, ACFO chairman, said: “Fleet decision-makers are reliant on motor manufacturers to deliver vehicles that are cost effective to operate, safe, reliable and environmentally-friendly, and on supplier companies to provide a first class service.”
