Peugeot has added to its range of commercial vehicles with the launch of the Partner Crew Van.
The car-derived van comes with a modular rear seat conversion, which enables it to carry up to five passengers when the seats are in place.
However, the seats can also be folded away to create extra space, giving the van potential load length of 1.8 metres and load volume of 3.3 cubic metres.
The vehicle, which has twin sliding side doors, is classified as a van rather than a car for VAT purposes, allowing commercial vehicle operators to claim the VAT back.
Peugeot recently said that its light commercial vehicle division had reported that its sales were up by 23 per cent year-on-year during October.
The improved sales came despite the market for new vans contracting. According to figures published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, total new van sales in the first ten months of the year were 39 per cent lower than in the corresponding period of 2008.
