Volkswagen has moved to reach a larger number of customers with the opening of a new van centre in Chelmsford, Essex.
The £1.4 million dealership is to offer showroom space for new and used commercial vehicles and a fleet of eight demonstration vans for use by prospective buyers.
It will also incorporate a workshop and parts service featuring seven ramps, two of which will be designated as class four MOT ramps.
The manufacturer stated that the opening of the new centre will allow customers in the area access to a wide range of services, in addition to creating new employment opportunities for locals.
Paul Lunnon, head of business at Volkswagen Van Centre Chelmsford, said: “We concentrate on delivering an outstanding customer experience, never forgetting that customers have a choice.”
“Our focus is only on vans – it is this that sets us apart from the competition,” he added.
Last week, the German manufacturer’s Transporter vehicle was named Best Medium Van at the Fleet Van Awards.
