Volkswagen has revealed the first details of its new range of Transporter vans, which it claims will offer better and more economical performance.
The latest version of the commercial vehicle has undergone an external and internal redesign which the company claims makes them more comfortable and cheaper to run.
Among the changes is the introduction of a new range of engines, which are claimed to offer ten per cent better performance for emissions and fuel economy, as well as operating more quietly.
The German manufacturer has also incorporated a number of interior features from its passenger cars, such as new instruments and a touchscreen navigation system, which it says will make the van more convenient to use.
Volkwagen stated that the new Transporter will offer “significant advances in comfort, safety and refinement”.
This comes after the company last week announced it will be offering unlimited mileage warranty for buyers of its Crafter commercial vehicles.
