Citroen’s commercial vehicles have remained the most popular choice among scrappage customers in the last month, accounting for more than a quarter of all sales.
Figures released by the manufacturer show that 152 Citroen vans were sold via scrappage in November, comprising 26 per cent of all vehicles bought through the scheme.
This continues the carmaker’s market-leading position from September and October, a period which has seen Citroen vans make up 25.7 per cent of all scrappage purchases.
Robert Handyside, commercial vehicle operations manager, said this stood as a testament to the appeal of its van range.
He stated: “We end 2009 with a range of highly competitive scrappage offers that will encourage yet more operators to replace ageing vans with new Citroen light commercial vehicles.”
Earlier this week, the company was awarded a number of accolades at the What Van? Awrads, including the Small Panel Van of the Year prize for the Citroen Dispatch.
