It was instrumental in whisking some of the most famous stars of film to the EE British Academy Film Awards (the BAFTAs) and now the Audi A8 L has picked up an accolade of its own.
The vehicle has been voted the Chauffer Car of the Year in the £50,000 to £75,000 category following a poll by online industry magazine thechauffeur.com.
While Ben Affleck was celebrating his numerous awards for his new film Argo little did he know that the car he would be arriving in would be holding such as prestigious honour.
The A8 L’s victory represented the second year running that it has claimed this prize and third overall since the awards were introduced.
Paul Gibson, editor of thechauffeur.com, spoke of the award adding: “The A8 L offers the chauffeur an excellent all-round package. Excellent economy, comfort, all-wheel drive and workable boot space are key factors which helped it clinch the award.”
