North-west used car dealer Carcraft has opened a new location near the Trafford Centre in Manchester.
The vehicle hypermarket chain, which was founded in Rochdale in 1951, is to offer in excess of 350 cars at the new site, bringing the group’s total stock to more than 4,000.
It has also expanded its employment opportunities in the area with the opening of the location, recruiting 50 new employees.
The firm now employs more than 800 workers across the UK.
Carcraft claims that the new development represents a positive sign for the UK car industry, stating that its business continues to go “from strength to strength” despite the recession.
Mike Walsh, director at the firm, also expressed his “delight” at having been able to open a showroom at such a high-profile site.
This comes after Glasgow-based car dealer Arnold Clark announced last month that it intends to create 700 new jobs across the UK.
