Renault has announced the launch of a new 100 per cent electric car with the ZOE due to hit showrooms in spring 2013.
The energy-efficient vehicle is available to reserve for just £49 with prices for the supermini starting from £13,650 on-the-road. It comes in a range of specifications to suit all types of motorist.
Officials have stated that the car is inline with the government’s Plug-In Car Grant and people looking to purchase this innovative vehicle will receive a discount as the UK continues to reduce carbon emissions through the use of electric cars such as this.
Renault has said that the ZOE has the longest range of any vehicle of its ilk with an NEDC cycle figure of 130 miles.
Andy Heiron, UK head of electric vehicles programme, said: “ZOE will be the spearhead of the Renault Z.E. range. In addition to its compact size, attractive styling and affordable price tag, it showcases Renault’s technological excellence when it comes to electric vehicles.”
