Skoda has landed two accolades from the highly respected off-roader magazine Total 4×4 for its Yeti compact SUV.
The manufacturer’s model landed the awards within the Small SUV class instead of being classed in the traditional 4×4 of the Year, and has been ranked ahead of its competitors.
Officials were impressed with the Yeti’s combination of practicality and versatility both on and off-road, as well as handing it the Special Award for Best Value for the second-consecutive year.
It carried on the Yeti’s tradition of strong performance at the start of the year as it collected accolades at the beginning of both 2011 and 2012.
Alasdair Stewart, brand director for Skoda UK, explained that that it is now the fourth calendar year in which the Yeti has been on sale and provided positive results.
“Striking the perfect balance between on-road performance, family orientated practicality and highly capable off-roader, sales of Yeti in the UK have continued to grow year-on-year,” Mr Stewart added.
